what is iat?


Attachment style is a subconscious set of rules that was shaped by our early experiences - how we were comforted, seen, and loved as children - and sometimes by later life events that shook our sense of safety. These patterns influence how we connect, love, trust, and show up in relationships today.Based on John Bowlby’s foundational attachment theory, there are four main attachment styles: secure, anxious-preoccupied, dismissive-avoidant, and fearful-avoidant. Studies show that more than half of us are insecurely attached (and honestly, I believe that number is even higher). That means most people quietly struggle to feel safe, confident, or truly fulfilled in their relationships, with others and with themselves.But here’s the good news: it doesn’t have to stay that way.
Through Integrated Attachment Theory (IAT), developed by Thais Gibson, I can help you not only understand why you feel the way you do, but actually reprogram the subconscious patterns that keep you stuck. my story


Hi, I’m Mandy Bonds.I’m originally from Germany and moved to the U.S. in 2019. Over the years I’ve worn many hats: working in food science, sales, and project management. But nothing ever felt quite like home until I found my passion for emotional and relational health.

For most of my life, I thought taking care of myself meant eating well and exercising. But even though I prioritized my physical health, I kept finding myself stuck in the same painful emotional cycles. I felt drawn to emotionally unavailable partners, and at one point, I spent years in a relationship that was deeply unhealthy marked by manipulation, emotional volatility, and the kind of subtle narcissistic patterns that slowly chip away at your self-worth.I left that relationship feeling confused, ashamed, disconnected from myself, and unsure who to trust - including me.At one point, I reached a breaking point. I knew something had to change. That’s when I discovered Integrated Attachment Theory, and it changed everything.The tools I now teach are the same ones I used to completely transform my own life. I was my very first client. Through this work, I learned how to feel safe in vulnerability, set boundaries with confidence, and invite only the kinds of relationships that align with the love and respect I deserve.That’s why I’m so passionate about helping you do the same. I know how it feels to be stuck, to crave connection but fear it at the same time.
